The Citizenship Party: 3 Point Political Platform

Important Note: In honor of America’s 250^th anniversary as the world’s first Constitutional Representative Republic, the 13^th Amendment and Bastille Day marked by July 14, I am announcing the formation of The Citizenship Party on July 13-14, 2026. America’s 250^thanniversary relates to point 1 the reformation of our electoral system to increase political engagement so as to address economic justice in this country while the 13^th Amendment and Bastille Day address the need to reform the mass incarceration system (politics of prison) and end homelessness (the socio-economics of the unhoused crisis).

1. The Reformation of our Broken Electoral System

• The Rehabilitation of the original 1965 Voting Rights Act

• The proliferation of independent redistricting committees in the other 42 American states to make the gerrymandering (the drawing of congressional districts) a more just, fairer, and equal process.

• Etc… (9 other electoral reforms concerning different laws and requirements that will eventually lead to the rise of a multiparty system in America)

• Electoral Reform will lead to greater civic and political engagement so as to transform the economic and political conditions of America.

2. Leading the Movement to End Mass Incarceration (Politics of Prisons)

• The vast majority of low level drug offenders should never be imprisoned

• Fixing the underlying economic conditions in poor communities that contributes to the school to prison pipeline

3. Leading the Movement to End Homelessness (Socio-Economics of Unhoused)

• Among religion, the 18^th century Enlightenment ideals, and the populist/socialist movements of the 19^th century there must be a central focus on the exaltation of poverty for the sake of justice.

• Homelessness must end if we are to achieve the Beloved Community.

The goal of The Citizenship Party is to interrogate the principle underlying the first words in the constitution “We the People.” Specifically, we seek that those once considered second class citizens in this country should be given a second chance at the American Dream.

All Americans citizens are not just entitled to the rights, privileges, and opportunities of citizenship, but must also uphold the responsibility of citizenship to reforming society through the creation of a working class coalition that prioritizes economic justice for the poor. 

The aspirational ideals of the constitution beginning with “We the People” must come to encompass all Americans in the ongoing project of belonging, inclusivity, and acceptance.
